Review: The Pocket Book of Positives by Anne Moreland

Quick review for a very quick read. I ended up reading this in the span of about two full hours, and only because I wanted to take my time going through each of the quotations, picking and choosing some of my favorites among the bunch. I was browsing around Barnes and Noble and saw this book on sale (for $7, I thought it was a great deal). It’s a long shaped, rather thick hardback book comprised of numerous inspirational quotations from a lot of different writers, artists, historians, political and famous figures. It’s separated into five sections: Celebrating You, Positive Change, Life’s Simple Pleasures, The Great and the Good, Silver Linings, and The Power of Laughter, each section color coded and filled with little etchings, designs, and otherwise colorful prints to put you in a good mood alongside the quotes. I love the quality of the paper it’s printed on as well. I’m definitely keeping this in my library for a long time to come, and referring to it when I need a bit of a pick-me-up.

Overall score: 5/5 stars.
